Initial Inspection and Process
De La T. Construction and restoration we specialized in customer service and being in this industry for over 20 years we understand the proper techniques in water restoration.
The inspection process includes, gathering information; conducting a survey of the structure, including pre-existing conditions, performing a thorough moisture inspection and tracking the water path. Moisture meters can detect moisture in building materials often cannot be detected by human senses and is generally used to indicate elevated moisture in various materials.
The source, cause and extent of the contamination, is necessary to adequately define the scope of work and develop a work plan for the project. We will determine if the moisture problem at issue has been identified, controlled or repaired. Once we established that the leak has been repaired we start the drying process with the most updated drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers.
Dehumidification is essential for removing evaporated moisture from air to minimize or prevent secondary water damage. One of the primary goals of restoration is to achieve acceptable drying while not cross-contaminating other areas of the structure.
Air moving equipment can be used to direct airflow at or across wet materials to promote evaporation or to create a pressure differential between two areas.
